Permanent Hair Remover ~ Hair is a covering for our body which nature has provided us for our protection. As the ages rolled along, man has begun using this for aesthetic reasons. Hair makes one attractive or unattractive, depending on how it is nurtured. When there is overgrowth in other body parts such as the legs and underarms, it now becomes a cause of embarrassment. The Catagen phase is the transitional phase that happens before the Telogen phase. The most active phase, which runs for about four to seven years, is the Anagen phase. It is at this stage when hair grows.

Electrolysis, as permanent hair remover, uses electricity to remove unwanted hair permanently. The process involves inserting a fine metal probe into each hair follicle and sending pulses of electricity to kill the hair cells. This is effective after the patient has repeated the process for about 20 to 25 sessions. The reason: hair in its three phases of growth should be covered in all stages, which will take a couple of months.

Similarly, laser hair removal as a permanent hair remover is effective as well as it requires you to take several sessions. Both procedures are costly. The difference between electrolysis and laser hair removal as a permanent hair remover treatment is that while the former uses electric current, the latter uses laser light beams to destroy the follicles. Each beam can focus on several follicles at a time. However, not all patients can undergo laser treatment. Hair types and skin color has to be assessed before the work is done.

There are four types of lasers in the hair removal industry. The patient should research about each of them to in order to know which type of permanent hair remover suits them best. ND Yag lasers can be used for different skin types, including the dark skinned and the tanned. Diode lasers has a deeper wavelength penetration,  so this is ideal for dark-skinned patients. Alexandrite lasers are the fastest of all types. It can touch a large body area. The Ruby Laser is the original laser used in the industry. This uses infrared light rays.

Nowadays, hair removal creams/depilatories have flooded the hair market as a cheaper alternative for permanent hair removal.  While the two mentioned methods above targets the hair follicle, the hair removal cream with its natural extracts aims to weaken the hair shaft until it falls off, and never to grow again. Because it is in cream form, it can be applied in the comforts of our own homes, instead of a doctor’s clinic.
